Methylendiphenyldiisocyanat (MDI), oft mit MDI abgekürzt, ist ein aromatisches Diasocyanat. Es gibt drei übliche Isomere, die sich in der Position der Isocyanatgruppen um die Ringe unterscheiden: 2,2'-MDI, 2,4'-MDI und 4,4'-MDI. Isomer 4,4 wird häufiger verwendet und ist auch als 4,4-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat bekannt. Dieses Isomer wird auch als reines MDI bezeichnet. MDI reagiert mit Polyolen zu Polyurethan.
