Diethylene Glycol (DEG)：DEG is a type of glycol and is a compound that consists of two methyl glycol molecules and one H2O molecule removed from the two methyl glycol molecules. It is a reacting by-product of ethylene glycol and a raw material for synthetic resin. DEG is also used in antifreeze, brake fluid, lubricating oils, cork plasticizers, packing materials and paint. It is also not flammable, does not omit toxic vapor or cause skin uptake so it is usually used for solvents.
